The Computer Menu as Expert System
Process Analysis
Computer Menus are effectively automated flow charts. As such, they are an excellent way of presenting complex processes so that they can be easily understood.
As an example, we present here a set of computer menus and submenus to help with a common, complex problem these days -- the job search process.
Using Menus to find a job
Using the menus below should be self-explanatory. While no such presentation can exhaust all possibilities and approaches, the intention is to illustrate a wide range of job types, initial strategies for approaching the employer and appropriate strategies to deal with initial employer responses.
